Watercooling case.

I've decided my Xigmatek Elysium Full Tower is just too big.. I keeps getting knocked about and cheaply made side panel has never worked and nightmare to put back on.

I'm after a respectfully sized case which is ample to host a triple rad.

There's does seem to be much choice at the moment.

It have to be a triple rad? Something like 2 x 240 or 240+120 be any good? If so you could look at something like the cm 690 II, takes a pair of 240's with no modding...

Going by the above, I quite like the NZXT Switch 810 Big Tower Case

Does anyone have any pictures of the case with a tripple rad fitted?

Removable top 5.25” plates to accommodate wide radiators

Can anyone expand on this?

I just find very cheaply built and clumsy. The switch is loose and I can never get the side door on and off

Alternatively, i was thinking of buying a smaller case, and routing the tubes outside to an external triple rad mount somewhere. Possibly bolt on to the side panel as a mod but i've not seen this done.

Finding something that will fit a 360 can be a challenge in a smaller case :S

Switch 810 is a solid case though.

Shinobi XL I think can fit a slim rad in the top :s

The removable top plates I imagine will be for the larger rads (60mm)

Pretty sure you can mod the CM storm Trooper to have a 360mm in the top, and I think one goes quite easily into the front, but not sure how much you might lose out on optical drive/hard drive space if you do that.

Just been reading the bit-tech review on the 810. Interesting they state they'd rather stick with the Xigmatek Elysium for it's sturdiness and water cooling kicks. I must be missing something or have a faulty case.

Whilst people rave about NZXT, I do have doubts about their quality.

Everyone who owns one seems to say they're fine, but I haven't heard anyone mention anything about it in reviews, and they do look a bit cheap and plasticy...

That said, I haven't actually seen, or dealt with one in the flesh, so can't guarantee much...

Somehow I don't think they come close to the quality of a Silverstone/Lian Li though.

I want to move to one from an 800D (to fit more radiators without the need for modding), but the thing that puts me off is build quality compared to the 800D!

I have an NZXT H2. Build quality is horrible. I'm moving to the Corsair Vengeance C70 tomorrow.

Just bought an 810 and with regards to build quality I have found very few issues.

I had the problem that the side panel was hard to get off but found this was due to the metal rail on the front facing side of the panel was a bit too tight. After a light bending with a pair of pliers it was fine - this did not hurt the panel or leave any visible signs.

The case will fit a 360 or 420 in the top. If you use a 420 the bay sides at the top of the case has to be removed in order for it to fit. The bay will still be usable for a fan controller.

The bottom will also fit a 240 or 280 - again, if a 280 is used its dremel time as the front bottom fan holder will get in the way.

In general I have found the 810 to be a very nice case - there is plastic but it blends in well. It's not perfect but it is very good and spacious.

I find the Elysium fine and the build quality pretty good for the price, although I don't touch it often as it's all built up and doesn't require much now.

It takes take afew days to tighten different screws to different levels to aid with vibration and sound. The side panels can be a pain and I found to get the side panels on properly you need to lie the case down on its side.

I think your need to spend big money to get a large high quality water cooling case, otherwise like you say external mounted would be the way to go, I had the antec p280 and folding its great, just not big enough for a 360 inside a tall.
