Watercooling fan controller

I'm building my first custom WC loop next week and was wondering what you guys would think is a good fan controller for 3 x 120mm PWN fans (EK Furious Vardar 120mm 3000rpm fans)?

Also, When I am leak testing, do I want ONLY the pump to power on with everything else unplugged, and how long should I do this for?

Lastly, how to I power a DDC PWM pump when doing this, and at what power will it run?

For the fans, get a powered PWM splitter and you can control them off your motherboard cpu header itself if it has fan control options in the bios or as separate software.

Yea, just power the pump during leak checks. Do so till you are confident that the loop is fine.

Depending on the pump, it will have a separate Molex or SATA cable for power. It will run at full speed.

I use ekwb PWM splitters for my fans with my asus ROG fan header. My DDC PWM fan is connected to the CPU header and I control it and the fans with ASUS fanExpert. It's a great tool for controling the pump speed and I am able to get approx 40 degree normal and 50 under load.

well i only just got into watercooling , thanks to help from the members here ... when i did leak test i left it for a full 24 hours and only powered pump up. I have my vardars F2 hooked up to :-

I had the pump on setting 2 whilst filling to ensure the res does not go dry as it goes down quick. Then after a few hours leak test i raised it to 5 which for me helped clear bubbles in res. After 24 hours connected rest of system

What I was more curious about was how I control the pump speed when leak testing since it is PWM?

Ah for that you would need an external PWM controller like the Aquacomputer Aquaero 5/6 or the Zalman ZM-MFC3

Thank you very much, one last question, Do I need to buy any G1/4" plugs for the reservoir, GPU block and radiator, or should they all come with them?

My EK GPU block and pump/res combo came with plugs. Check your manufacture, but I would be shocked if they did not come with them. EK sell pugs with their logo on them, so you can add to the overall rig look if you do not like the basic plug.
