Hi all,

How much would something like this cost to build? Specifically the watercooling kit only, complete.

And how easy would it be to build?

I had watercooling before, and thought it was a pain. But this was 6 years ago, and the kit wasn't brilliant, in a bodged case. This rig looks awesome though.

Looks like he only has a 360 rad in there which is skimping it a bit for GPU & CPU, also doesn't give you any overhead for overclocking or adding a 2nd GPU later.

I reckon you'd be looking at at least £300-£350 for the watercooling bits depending on which items you use.

That's not a 360mm rad it's 3 x 180mm (so 540x180).

Ahh, so it is. Apologies for mis-information :)

Would that be enough for a second GPU later though?

I'm not 100% sure, but I'd have thought so. Surface-wise it's a little under that of a 480 + 360 rad. So from that point of view It should be plenty for a 2nd GPU. The question I'd have is how much does the thickness impact the performance and how good are the fans?

That rad is more than enough, When i used to have that case i was watercooling a 6990 + 6950 in it and it was fine for temps

You need to Cut the bottom of the case for airflow though. and Remove the stock fan mounts otherwise the rad plus fans will be too high and get blocked by the Mobo tray

I'd love to Watercool my ft02 but seems like a lot of effort, my next build (sometime early next year) will be a Watercooled corsair 750D or similar I reckon.
I'm sure I have seen a really tidy looking Watercooled ft02 in one of the galleries on these forums. Looked awesome!

to do this you need to dremel away the area where the motherboard tray meets the bottom of the case, drill out the hard drive cages, remove the fan brackets and sliding dust filters etc. and then mount a custom demciflex fan filter to the underside of the case (use the fans as intake)

It's a lot of hassle.

Also, the rig in the video is going to get massively dusty due to the negative pressure setup he has going on. It's the exact opposite of the silverstone positive pressure feature of the case.
