Well as im not too sure on what to get etc thought i would ask for some help. Atm using air cooling and my pc seems to get quite hot on load, and want to get watercooling mainly for the performance but looks would be a plus :) .

was thinking of colling the cpu / northbridge then using a fan on the ram which i got when i brought the ram and possible cool the gfx but that isnt nessary think it would look a bit messy if i did.

Now was the question would i be able to do anything with my case to keep it tidyish or should i purchase a "Koolance PC3-725BK Lian Li V1000 Aluminium Tower - Black" / "Koolance PC3-736BK Lian Li V2000 Server Aluminium Tower - Black" or bu y the parts seperate and what would i need.

Ive attached a pic of what my current one looks like.

Doubt you'll find anyone on here who'll endorse the Koolance kit, although the Lian Li it was housed in is perfectly fine.

For a custom build if you want to cool cpu and nb you'll need at a minimum:
CPU block
Pump
Radiator
Reservoir
Northbridge chipset block
Tubing
Fans

If you want to showcase your loop and also have it tidy then you may well have to ditch the case. Lian Li and Silvertone seem to be the most popular brands of choice and do great windowed cases, I think your decision will be influenced by how much case modding you're prepared to do. Also it makes things so much easier installing water kit in a large case.

Also factor in some tools for the job:

Jigsaw, Drill and perhaps a Dremel

You can get a nicely-specced high end watercooling set up for around £200 or just over from well respected places. Thats what I spent on my core components listed above but to be honest I probably spent more than double that by the end.

Don't let this put you off, you can save money by ruthlessly selling off your old kit. And you'll have so much fun building it yourself you probably won't care.

Google for some of the many water-cooling guides, do your research thoroughly and take it from there. There are several specialist forums who will be glad to advise you.

Thanks for the reply been looking for a new case think it will either have to be
Lian Li PC-V1100
Lian Li PC-V2100
Since i can put the psu is at the bottom of the case, i should be able to mount a rad to the top of the case without hitting my 8800 at "hopefully". My mind is leaning towards v1100 since its kinda small ~ but i think it hould be able to fit if not will most likely get 2100 (which will make me buy a new stuff to go inside :P ) Any one got any suggestions on these two cases guess there may be a clog up (not much space) with the v1100 if i did get my gfx cooled also.

"quite hot on load" How hot?

Have you thought of putting a fan on that monster of a heatsink or is it one of those with a fan inside it?

It's hot at the moment. Every computer is hot at the moment. Mine is water-cooled, it's quiet but it's hot. (63C 100% load) So what? It's stable and it works. If it was air-cooled with a top-end air-cooler it would probably (maybe) be a bit hotter but I bet it would still be stable. So I ask again, why do you care?

The temps average around 75~

It has a fan inside which i replaced for a better fan

Well at the time of purchase the tuniq was one of the best top-end heatsinks around, but after upgrades to my pc the temps have risen, and had to put a fan next to it to make sure it doesnt get too hot.

So I ask again, why do you care?

Well to reduce the temps..and looks which are a plus but dont care asling as the heat goes down.

If you take the case side off and direct a desk fan at the inside, do the temps drop? If they do, you just need better case cooling. If they don't go down at all, I won't believe it. try it and report back.

As you can see in the pic i have 1 fan at the front 1 at the back and one inside the the tuniq which i brought of here :) - going to replace the gfx coolers as first anyway to see if i get any differance since they go to 88+~ (+ those fans suck)
