I've got a thermochill PA160 so I'm thinking I could take out the HDD tray and squeeze the drive in to the floppy disk bay. This would let me screw the rad's shroud onto the 120mm intake fan then put the pump under the graphics card. I really want to keep it all inside the case.
Didn't actually follow that guide, he was drilling and screwing all over the place, I just fixed the shroud to the fan mounting at the front of the case.
I've decided to remove the floppy drive along with the 3.5' bay and the rad will fit easily. Then I'll alter the 5.25' bays at the top to take my hard drive and one optical drive. Might even mount a fan in there as well to cool the HDD.
Seems easy enough at the moment.
What should I add to the deionised water once it's going. Is bog standard anti freeze okay or will I need some inhibitor to prevent rust as well?
The system consists of Thermochill PA160 radiatior with 120m Akasa Ultra Quiet fan, Swiftech Storm CPU block, Silverprop Cyclone Fusion HL GPU block, Laing DD5 pump and a Danger Den fillport not to mention the Tygon tubing and, nickel barbs and T-piece.
My graphics card is currently sitting at 29c idle but I'll post load temps when I have them.
TBH I've not even thought about draining the system yet but I was considering putting another fillport on the bottom of the case between the pump and the rad before I built it.
Edit - I might remove the blocks and lap them at some point but I couldn't be bothered at the moment.
They seem to be but its the first watercooling setup I've built so I don't really know. They do have a screw on the back that lets you adjust the...erm...pumpage and oviously the higher its set the louder the pump is.
