Watercooling - Is it worth it?

Those swiftech kits come with lamo 3/8 dont they?

Some of them come with 7/16" but 3/8" seems to work really well to be honest. I'm really quite happy with my basic Swiftech kit. It's very easy to work with, runs very quietly and takes up very little space. My 1/2" stuff is huge by comparison.

I've made a shortlist of parts so far, can you advise me which to get/avoid etc.
· PUMP –eheim 1048/1250, aquastream 50z,
· RADIATOR – XSPC R120D, dual heatercore, Black Ice pro
· BLOCK- swiftech storm, LRWW, Danger Den TDX, swiftech mcw6002
· TUBING, tygon
· RESERVOIR/FILLPORT – what do I need?

My eheim leaked (it cracked at the back :/) - so personally i would avoid another.. could go for a swiftech mcp655.. bit more expensive tho :S. Also, the eheims are very big - if you have a smallish case you may have problems getting it to fit

I would go for a bayres reservoir - i think dangerden do one - just takes up a 5 1/2" bay and looks kinda cool imo. Also go for a dual rad, esp if you're planning on cooling the gpu as well as the cpu (dont bother with the chipset as mentioned earlier). Tubing.. tygon is awesome, but more expensive, i've got the dangerden equivalent, which does the job nicely ;). I've had a few dangerden blocks, and theyve always performed nicely - if you're cooling the pgu - maze4's are great, may need to get some different fittings if you're cooling one of the newer cards (7800s, x1800s etc).

I bet it looks twice as good by comparison. :D

Aqua extreme do a gpu block with is basically a copy of the maze 4 but it comes with every fitting for all cards i think, its pretty cheap to but u might need ram sinks for ** gfx memory but depends if ** overclocking really. The Repack bay res is so much nicer than the danger den one.

Its also quite short so it doesnt stretch back to the whole bay which gives u that little more space which is always needed with watercooling, thers never enough space to do exactly what u want lol

Check this out, it will show the maze 4 copy block and bay res in action.

wish i could keep mine as tity as any of them shame i decided to cool every thing when i upgrade i spend loads can never spend few quid
