watercooling loop question

Pretty much, I'd suggest two loops just to isolate your CPU (giving it the best cooling possible) and yea 2 Rads, 2 Pumps, 2 Res (if u don't go for a pump res combo) and all ** blocks as well as a bunch of tubing and and whole bunch of wormdrive clips.

Have you has a look around to see what you want/need?

It can be done with a single loop but will not achieve fantastic temperatures. With a powerful pump, low-restriction blocks and a Thermochill 120.3 with 12v fans you will get OK temps but it won't be as quiet as you might like.

Two loops allows higher-flow because of lower restriction, allows two rads which allows greater surface area which improves cooling.

having 2 loops seems to be rather expensive, not sure my wallet is stretchy enough...

get decent air cooling then.

or just do 1 loop where you cool the cpu and chipset. and air cool the graphics with a decent aftermarket cooler each.

I heard the TDP of the GTX280 is supposed to be something crazy like 250W at full tilt so if you want 2, leaving aside the fact that unless you have a monster monitor (24" plus in which case how are you surviving with something 3 years old) you're wasting your time then yes, you're going to need a high performance loop just for them.
