So ive decided to go watercooled, being a plumber how hard can it be ! but ive spent most of the day looking at cases which I still cant decide...I wont be doing massive overclocks its more for the looks, I always intended to go with the corsair 650d but it looks limited on rads as I will probably go cpu and gpu blocks so that makes me think do I look at full tower to make sure im ok for room, but some look huge and there will be a lot of wasted space I feel.anyone have the 650d and find space for rads ok ? and then its which kit to get ? the xspc ones to go for? and if so which one would see me sorted for cpu (intel) and gpu ..decisions decisions ! any help appreciated cheers Q

650d should be fine for a cpu+gpu setup, slim 240 in the top and a 180/200 in the front will give you ample cooling room :)

I have the 600T, which is kind of like the 650D but with some plastic bits surrounding it. I've modded the top, so that I can fit a 360 slim rad up there. Coolant temps kept pretty good!

As im going to be tighter for budget, the wife found out about my new project !, is there a gpu waterblock available to fit my existing Asus gtx 660 ? I see ones for 670 but none says compatible for 660 ?

I do like the look of the full block so will try and squeeze a new gpu in there ,probably the 7970 ...do you think I need to add an extra rad if running a 4770 cpu and the 7970 in the loop? , currently have xspc rx 360 in top of my phantom 820 case, i see theres plenty of room in bottom of the case, still at early build process, so don't know how this will be temp wise for a while yet

360 rad with a single gpu and cpu loop should be good from what I hear. I'm holding out for the new intel chips and the Phanteks case for my new build.
Thing is with your custom loop, you can always add another radiator if you're not happy with the temps at a later date. Hopefully when the Missus is looking the other way :)

Is it ok to mount CPU block and still ok to push down when fitting hoses to block connections , don't want to crush the 4770 if I can help it ! Apologes there will be noob questions along the way I think the last pc I built had a axia 1g CPU !

I think you're better off attatching the tubes to the block first, as you'll want to leak test your loop first. Some do it with everything installed in the pc. But I think I'd take a leaf from one of the project building logs and run the loop out of the pc.

Finally finished ,taken a while....but here's few pic's ,.Not a massive watercooled build by any means, but I was just chuffed that it actually went into bios first time with no probs ,last pc I built was probably back in the days of the 1ghz axia cpu !

Build consisted on Z87-g45 mb , i7 4770 cpu ,8gb viper 2133 MHz ,7970 gpu ,xspc 360 x 60 rad kit with gpu put on the loop ..all wrapped up in nzxt phantom 820 case.
