Yeah, have a look for MasterKleer 7/16" tubing - it's some of the best stuff around and fortunately costs a lot less than Tygon 7/16" tubing (less than half the price per foot).

Really? it may be the tubing as I have quite a tight bend from the CPU block to the GPU block, but I didn't use the cool sleeves... I'm going to put them on over the weekend. I'm pretty sure its a good mount, but i'll double check.

Its an 1800 so will run a little warm anyway

Warmish yes, but my X1800XT ran the same temps as my X1900XT (XTX'd) does, and thats an easy high-30s/low-40s, same as my CPU. That 10c delta between CPU and GPU says bad mount to me.

*shrug* just my epxerience.

My X1800XT idles at about 35C and loads at about 42C - your mount is bad - there is no two ways about it I don't think.

Well his temps are going to be a bit warmer since hes on a single rad but 15c between CPU & GPU are a pretty strong clue to whats going on

Yeah, plus mine is a dual heatercore - ever so slightly better (damn those Thermochill PA's though!). 15C delta for core temp is far too much and also 60C load on water - what is the water delta there - must be huuuge ('tween core and water

). Such inefficiency can only be explained by mount. Often I found was too much TIM rather than poor mounting itself. Funnily enough, on my first mount of the X1800XT, that is what I got (idle fine at 35C butload at 63C) - did a remount and temps were as they are above.

Okay - I will re-mount the GPU block and see if it makes a difference.

Ok i found MasterKleer 7/16 tube for the swiftech. It seems cheap, does it kinking easily though?
The shop that am on has two:7/16" ID (5/8" OD) Masterkleer PVC Tubing and 7/16" ID (9/16" OD ThinWalled) Masterkleer PVC Tubing. Which one I need?
As far as the kit is concerned it wouldn't matter if i install it in my current pc and then dismantle it for my new one right?

@Cheekykid: I have the 5/8" thicker walled stuff. It's certainly good stuff and doesn't kink nearly so easily as 1/2" stuff in my opinion. It has a much tighter bend radius meaning it will bend further before kinking. I think most people get the 5/8" OD stuff rather than the 9/16".

ill go for the 7/16" ID (5/8" OD) then though its triple the price

The thin walled stuff kinks much, much easier than the thicker walled stuff. And believe me, be glad it wasn't Tygon tubing which is 2.5x more expensive than the thick walled stuff still!

Its not really lag. The mouse just feels slightly more slugish when running in a USB port. I found myself missing a lot more in CoD 2 MP.
So the Swiftech MCR220 Rad will be far enough out to not get in the way?

What are heatcores like? Do you need a special size tubing? Extra modding? I'm a real noob to w/c...
