Watercooling Question?

You can usually last a while with the same watercooling kit, im not planning to change anything for a while. You will only need to change something when you upgrade to a CPU socket which your CPU block wont fit on for example. Same with the GPU block. But then thats only changing the blocks, you keep most of the setup how it is.

Any more questions? :p

Under £30 is a bad price-point as the D-Tek FuZion is £38, but the EK Wave is under £30. I really would stretch the extra £8 though.

How much temp difference would you see if you had a EK Wave and A D-Tek in the Same setup? (Obviously not at the same time)

Thanks, BEn

I haven't seen any comparisons of the Wave to the FuZion, but the FuZion is generally considered to be the best block available along with the Apogee GTX. Ones better in high flow, the other low flows, but I can never remember which way round it is. Either way the difference is minor (a degree or two).

Fusion has highest flow - the GTX is slightly more restrictive. The GTX outperforms the fusion by a couple of degrees IF a bowed base is used under certain conditions.

I just sold my EK Wave and fitted a FuZion and the difference is 6C (39C vs. 45C under load). All other components the same. That's quite sizeable in my opinion.

Yes, but then with a dual 120mm there is the problem of fitting it.

This picture taken from the watercooling case gallery shows how a single 120mm rad can be fitted.

You could fit a dual RAD to the top of the case like this triple RAD, but this involves modding...

ORRR... as a last option, you could mount it to the back of the case using the 120mm rear exhaust somehow. Doing this might block some of the PCI slots though...

You could fit a second 120.1 like I have -

Ill try and save for a D-tek then 6C is quite a difference :)
