Ok as soon as OCUK recieve their order from EK i will be building my first wc loop using the EK H3O Watercooling Kit - Supreme HF 360 **2011 Compatible** [3831109863145].

I have been waiting for a month now and in that time i have since bought a 140 single rad and a gpu block for my 5870.

My question is what oder would be best for the following components

pump
res
360 rad
cpu block
140 rad
gpu block

Possibly in that order?

many thanks

Most importantly the res must come before the pump so as not to run it dry as this will damage your pump very quickly. so the usual order is

Res>Pump>cpu>gpu>rad

as you have 2 rads you can put the other rad anywhere in the loop as it doesn't make a huge difference. Just go with what makes your tube routing the easiest.

Again most important of all reservoir before the pump.

sweet thanks for the info buddy ;)

With two rads remember that both need to be extract or both supply (intake)
Extract is usually better (overall) - so cool air is pulled across the mobo and ram.
But Rads as intake give slightly better cpu temps - but with a significant rise in internal case temps.

If you have one rad as supply and another a extract - then your just taking the heat out of the loop and putting some of it back again!

You may also find that the extra 140 rad will increase temps (if it's restrictive) due to reduced flow rate.
The 360's maybe all you need - as JeffyB said - compact, effecient loops work best - if you can avoid 45/90 even better

It tells you in the manual you get with the kit...

This.

i7 and 5870 will be fine with a 360, it will be your choice of 120 fans and their noise/performance which will dictate the final temperatures you will running at.

using 6 vipers 120mm on 360 and 2 viper 140mm on 140mm

fitting the extra rad as i will be upgrading to 7000 series when they come out either 7970 or 7990, i will make my mind up when they arrive.

and both will be exaust.

it will go

res-pump-360-cpu-140-gpu-res

o0 8 fans?

Remember to get a decent fan controller.

If you wish to retain the PWM control, Akasa do a Y cable for PWM fans that split off the power draw from a molex connector and a single 4 pin for the PWM control signal.

i have a four fan controller, Scythe Kaze Master Ace and i have four akasa splitters ;)

i have been planning this for the last month, i dont think i have missed anything but only time will tell :D
