Watercooling woes..

Looks good mate, glad you got it sorted. Always, always be as careful as you can be with watercooling. Even if it doesn't damage anything, it can make a big mess.

My ownly niggle now is a very faint clicking noise.

I cant locate where its coming from, could it be the rad with it being new?

EDIT: I think I know what it is, the noise is coming from the res/pump, I think there maybe a few fragments from inside the rad that going round the loop.

Wonder how much temps will drop when I get my exhaust fan :)

SHUT THE LOOP DOWN NOW and get the bits out of the pump if you really think that's what it is. You can't replace the ceramic bearing and while you can buy new impellers, it's almost as cheap to buy a new pump.

I don't think they'll change much, if at all. If your radiator fans are on top of the radiator blowing in (and that's how I'd have them) then the exhaust fan might ease the back pressure a little, but I doubt it as the Eclipse is a leaky old thing.

[Edit]Just noticed your fans are under the radiator - that could be slightly less efficient[/Edit]

I purchased some more coolant and tubing and flushed the rad/rs/pump out several times. There are no more noises coming from the pump.

What have I learned?

Always clean out a new rad :0

Thanks for your advice WJA96, you most likey saved me from having to buy a new pump.

Well before I was getting temps of upto 85°C dependant on the room temperature.

My temps at the moment after 32 minutes of small ffts is 58,58,61,61 so It has definetey been worth while.

Also I havent got a fan on the exhaust, waiting on a delivery so very pleased.

While I had the board out I also did the bolt mod on my NB which has given good results, I reakon has reduced temps by at least 10-15°C.

Looks good, though I think there might be molten lava leaking onto your hard-drive. :(
