Waterfall feature or similar?

Hey guys, ever since I set up my watercooling (which I love ofc) I cant help but wish I had something which shows that the water is actually moving around in there. So without further a do, here are my questions:

1. Why are there not waterfall accessories easily available? Is it because it gets air into the main loop which kills the pump? (Struggling for answers).

2. What are the possibilities without making one yourself? I guess the most basic would be to get a flow meter with one of the fans in, but it doesnt look half as good as a full on waterfall type thing.

Theres a few things lurking around on youtube but I have no idea where I could get my hands on one! (Below is an AMAZING example - although its hand made :()

Cheers! :D

A whole front panel cascade would be awesome... until the soothing sloshing drives you mental :D Would need a bypass valve

I agree with OP - need more water features in water cooling :p

I set up something similar thinking it would be "cool"... it was, for about 30 minutes, and then the noise got right on my nerves and the next morning I ordered a normal res

what about if it wasn't a waterfall as such, but was water running down a piece of perspex that was illuminated from the rear. SO the water ran down a gap of a few mm between the perspex back and the front of the res. I t could look pretty funk if you could machine a pattern of channels into the perspex so the water would run down in randomly shaped streams ?

Can't think of a way of graphically showing..................

Aquacomputer aquatube with aquajet
Ek duel bay spin reservoir
Tecnofront Challenge X2 Dual Bay Liquid Cooling Reservoir
Tecnofront Visual Trap Liquid Cooling Reservoir Rev 2 w/ Visual Flow Meter

There are four and most bay res's will show some fluid movement is set up that way

the ek bay res with the flow meter looked like that - i used it in my first build

it made a racket, but looked cool i guess :)

I bought a bay res from overclockers bout 10 years ago and stuck my fan controller underneath it, the blue LEDs used to shine through and sent fluid like light around my room, looked kinda cool, but i had a door on the front of the case so dissapeared as soon as i shut it :)

I always wondered why sumone hadnt done the whole indoor water fall thing, on a side window of the case or something.

There was a mod some time back where a guy moved his gfx to a pci riser cable and then used the extra space to hollow out a shallow wide channel in some perspex so that the water flowed along it into the compression fitting and then onto the res. It was a stunning bit of work, will have a search for the post later
