Guys,

Got a D3100 and looking at it a waterproof housing is going to run at about £400 - could get a small waterproof instant for that - thoughts? :)

Any good camera's I should look at - looking at around £300 for snorkelling / swimming :)

I first saw it in America in an Animal store, then noticed they had them in the Animal stores back here and I was memorized by the quality and some of the sports / stunts they were filming, but it does look like a brilliant bit of kit and does exactly what you need and comes in well under budget :)

My little Lumix DMC-FT3 takes pretty good pics for a compact and is waterproof to 10M according to the stats! The most I have used it in so far though is about 8 inches of water in a jug!

If you are using it for diving/snorkelling you might want to get the new dive housing which gives a proper perspective when used underwater.

They are a lot of fun and i've had many people that have seen footage i've taken who then want to buy one.

Oh, one more for you spending money...

The batteries usually tend to run out before memory cards do, worth having at least one spare.

Must say the dive housing and head strap are very well put together...cant wait to go away in August now to use them :D

Oooohhh very tempted by the GoPro Hero2, although the battery life is a little off-putting. Wonder if there will be a Hero3 out this or early next year?
