hey i adding to my computer i have everything in place and powered up but my monitor wont come on can u help me please wat can it be ?????

This. Can't help you without knowing what your system is. Is the monitor not turning on, or it can't find an input source?

asus P8h67 motherboard(no onboard graphics)
8gb ddr ram kingston.
intel i5 cpu
nvidvi gts250 graphics card
900w power supply

What make 900w PSU, have you connected the pcie power if it has a socket?

... Oh dear... well I think I can see what the problem is...

It's a cheap budget PSU, so it will be using cheap parts. Because of that, it's unreliable, and 900w may be the peak power which only lasts a couple of seconds before blowing up. Even then, most of that wattage may not even be going to the GPU. I can't find the spec sheet for the PSU but this may be the case. Always buy a reliable branded PSU.

Says 430w but it actually can deliver what it states.
 
ah well i got it from ****** and it was 60quid...its powers everything up and fans etc wud this still affect the graphics card like ???
 
Don't mention competitors, it's against forum rules. Well I managed to find a video with the spec sheet, but I will not link since it mentions a competitor (same one you're mentioning from the looks of it, which me and a few friends have had bad experience with), and it's a bit confsuing. Quad rail, 17a on one, 15a on another, and 14a on the other two. So it should just about be enough for the GTS 250.

Have you tried the onboard? The i5 will have a HD2000/3000 GPU on it, and your motherboard has a HDMI/VGA port, so take the card out, and plug the monitor to the motherboard, then try again.
 
Ah my bad. Did a quick google and got the wrong one :rolleyes:. Very strange for a H67 board to have no display outputs...

On the other hand, I still think the culprit is the PSU.

What were the other graphic cards did you try? Can you test the 250 in another system if possible (with a decent PSU)?
