I've got money in a PayPal account which is of absolutely no use to me in there. I can't link my bank account to PayPal as it won't let me so can't withdraw that way.

The only way I can think is to send it to someone who has their account linked, then they withdraw and BT it over to me.

Or is there something I'm missing?

And sorry guys, I'm not sending it to you for the above process ;)

Why won't it let you link accounts? That's the whole idea of PayPal - moving money between your bank and a third party, and back again

I guess you could transfer it to me (unless it's thousands of pounds of laundered money :p) and I could BT it to you...

If its genuine clean money (can prove it somehow) can transfer over and id also BT it over.

Odd how u can't link a bank though.. it does take 4 days or so iirc, what bank you with?

Set up a second PayPal account, link your bank to it, gift yourself the money. Or just use it to buy things, there are a surprising number of places which take PayPal now

I have no idea why, I've spoken to the people at PayPal too they said they don't know why.

I'm with Barclays.

I would keep it there and buy stuff but I have absolutely nothing that I need to buy.

I can't link mine with Barclays for some reason (not that I want to) but IIRC I can put money back onto my bank cards.

I never linked my bank account with paypal. I only use cards with them. Too many horror stories of Paypal deciding to actually /take/ money from the account -- with a card you can cancel it (and cancel the card) while if they have your bank details, you're screwed.

I think having your bank details on there is actually "safer". PayPal take the money by Direct Debit, meaning its covered by the DD guarantee; essentially meaning if they take a payment you don't "approve" you're legally entitled to a refund, if its a card payment then you'd have to prove it was fraudulent

"I made money selling drugs on the Silk Road, and don't want to give PayPal my info. Please launder my money for me." :)
