had a card left through my door says it's from a company called Onecall Services Ltd, also has the Virgin Media logo on the card, its a very cheap looking printed out piece of paper 'card'

says..

'sorry we missed you. We called today on behalf of Virgin Media to explain and collect the Wayleave Agreement. We will be in your area again, please call to arrange an appointment

there's no cable, just BT so this looks like it's someone trying to get cable in to the area

anyone had this before?

Did they leave a wayleave agreement with you? It sounds like they want to dig up the road/path to install cable for VM and want/need your permission.

I work in a school in London. We had a new building constructed last year. Part of the works included re-locating our VMB Internet connection within the school. This meant re-running the fibre connection into the school. The council had to approve a wayleave agreement for VMB to be able to re-route the fibre connection round the corner from the school in order to be able to do the work on the school grounds.

I realise this isn't a residential example but I would contact Onecall or Virgin Media and get them to explain what they want to do and how it affects you.

Suppose a call to find out can't hurt...
I'm in a top floor flat BTW, so unless they need access to the roof space I dunno why they need anything from me.
Will be happy if they put cable in tho!
