Hello,

I intend to WC a 2500k @4.2GHz and sometime in the future the HIS Ice-Q Boost 7950. I've compiled the following after a bit of googling and research on here.

It's a toss up between the EK supremacy or the Raystorm... Comments?

Also I don't really have space for a separate pump/res so a combo with a small footprint is needed.

I'm in no rush so I'll be posting up a wanted thread soon once I've made my mind up, I don't mind used parts.

YOUR BASKET
1 x OcUK Tech Lab - 10w DDC Pump & EK-DDC X-RES 100 CSQ Value Combo £89.99
1 x XSPC RayStorm CPU WaterBlock (Intel) £51.98
1 x Hardware Labs Black ICE Radiator GT Stealth 240 £35.99
1 x Hardware Labs Black ICE Radiator GT Stealth 120 £27.49
2 x Primochill Primoflex Advanced Tubing 13/10 - Clear £5.99 (£11.98)
8 x Monsoon 13/10mm (ID 3/8 OD 1/2) Free Center Compression Fitting - Black Chrome £5.29 (£42.32)
Total : £271.16 (includes shipping : £9.50).

What are your thoughts?

Yes true, I've yet to shop around.
Here's another approach...

1 x EK DCP 4.0 Pump (12v) £39.98
1 x Hardware Labs Black ICE Radiator GT Stealth 240 £35.99
1 x Aqua Computer Aqualis ECO 100ml with Nano Coating £34.99

I'd get thicker radiators, they seem a bit pointless being that thin.

I'd also upgrade the pump to a DDC or a D5 just for peace of mind.

I presume you have got 2 rads because it will fit better? With my last build I wish I went with fewer, larger rads... if you plan to expand in the future, definitely consider the setup for the long run (unlike what I did!).

Here's the most recent pic albeit a lot of the components have changed but the 240 rad has 4 fans fitted and there's room for another 120 on the rear exhaust

The intention is to either fit a small tube res above the PSU or fit a pump/res combo on the floor in front of the PSU

Looks like you'd be fine with a nice thick 240 rad (make extra sure with the height measurements) and a 120 at the back.
Should be ok with a 140-150mm res above the psu if you wanted to put it there.

Aurora is not designed for constant use. It has been developed for show System's (modding) and Photo work. The life span of Aurora Coolants is around 6months. Please keep this in mind when ordering. If looking for a fluid for a Home system / Gaming system please use Mayhems X1 or Mayhems Pastel range of fluids there are fully tested and working in any kind of loop.

Raystorm's are top performing CPU blocks, the only down side is the mounting mechanism is one of the worst I've come across. EK blocks are generally good quality.
