WC parts advice

Right guys, I'm looking for some opinions on some parts, I'll be doing my first custom loop sometime in the next month'ish and I'm rather confused as what specific parts to get.

I'm looking to get a 360 rad, nothing to thick, I wont be over clocking any time soon so the thinner rads will be most likely ideal for me.
I've been torn between the XSPC EX360 and the Hardware Labs Black Ice Nemesis 360 GTS (possibly adding a second 240 rad in too depending on what happens with my current GPU).
I already have 3 Cooler Master Jet Flo fans 800-2000 RPM (PWM) - 95 CFM ± 10% - 2.72 mmH2O ± 10%

I also have 2 LEPA 600-1600 RPM - Maximum airflow: 63.91 cfm - Maximum air pressure: 2.18 mmH2O - Airflow: 108.65 m³/h, which will be used for the 240 rad if I add my GPU into the mix.

I'm also stuck on which Acrylic tubing to get, while I doubt there is any real difference, anyone have any preference on Primochill or Monsoon 13mm Hardline tubing? I cant decide whether to go Primochill with the revolver fittings or Monsoon with the Hardline fittings which are more secure with the glue on caps.

I'm planning on some form of D5 Pump, either a tube res version or a D5 with pump-top and a separate res. I kind of like the XSPC Acrylic D5 tank but cant find many reviews on it. I'd quite like to do something a bit different and not just go with the bayres/pump combo.

I have a new Corsair 760T due any time now so I'd like to start ordering the parts. I'm planning on getting the XSPC AMD RayStorm CPU block and thats about the only part I have really decided on lol.

Both of those are good radiator choices. The 360 on it's own is more than capable of cooling your CPU and GPU, especially if you're not overclocking.

Acrylic tubing is going to be pretty much the same which ever you chose, and you already know the monsoon fittings are more secure. To be fair though, under normal circumstances, the Primochill fittings will work perfectly fine and will grip the tubing nice and securely. Just make sure which ever fittings you chose aren't too bulky for the Raystorm block - I know some of the chain gun fittings are too wide for the block.

The XSPC photon pump/res is a good choice, though they are quite hard to fill due to the light tube being in the way.

just to add re the acrylic tubing make sure you get a decent silicon insert as I've heard primo have been supplying a hollow silicon insert in their bending kit and this has produced kinks when bending tubes too quickly. This is contrast to their vid which had a non hollow tube.

Rad wise I'd probably go for the one that has a lower fpi and is full copper if you're not going to be o/c'ing any time soon.

Performance wise EX360 and GTS360 is similar but in terms of build quality I have heard that GTS360 is a lot better

Thanks guys, I figured their wouldn't be much difference tbh, but lots of people here have probably used all kinds of brands and know which is better quality, I'll probably go for the GTS, there isn't much difference in the pricing and if its build quality is better then who can argue with that!
I shall cross my fingers for some offers or deals on either Rad and see which sways it.

Didn't think about fitting size so thanks for point that out, last thing I need is fittings that are too bulky for the blocks!

not from personal experience but I'm looking to get one also so been going through the reviews and overall I think it's pretty quiet so long as it's mounted with a view to keep it quiet. A couple of people have said theirs is noisy but overall it's a quiet outlook for it

I do own a EK DCP 4.0 myself.

I think they are really quite if you have bleed the system properly.

Of coz, you can plug it into a fan controller, but remember to keep the flow rate at 1.0+ gpm

that's reassuring to know as I'm thinking about picking one up for a transplant I'll be doing soon.
Did you have any troubles with it? bleeding etc

I've owned a DCP 4.0 and use D5s all the time at OcUK.

The DCP was quite loud and caused a lot of vibrations - it was really hard to decouple from the case. That was at 12V though, as soon as I plugged it into my motherboard instead of a fan-to-molex adapter, the thing was silent and I didn't see any difference in temps. Great pump for the money.

D5s are the quietest pumps I've used, even at 12V. Turning them down to 2/3 makes them virtually silent and still powerful enough for most loops. There's also very little vibrations from it.

If money was tight, I'd probably lean towards the DCP, but I would recommend the D5 vario to anyone wanting to watercool.

I don't find any problem with bleeding etc.

Because I always connect the pump to a fan controller and put it to a lowest possible speed when filling the loop to avoiding foaming etc.

With regards to uncoupling, I don't use the stock uncoupling foam but the shoggy sandwich that you can buy separately.

That being said, I think DCP is a compact solution if you need a rez+pump combo.

In my main system (with 3*360 rad, 1 cpu + 2gpu blocks) I am using the Koolance PMP-500, which is also uncoupled with shoggy sandwich, and works really well

But to be fair, the nature of the noise is different to individual, so you will have to listen yourself, like on Youtube, to the various pumps and decide yourself whether the sound is considered as noise to you.

+1. I too have owned/used both, but have been using a D5 for a couple of years now, and have found it to be an excellentpump for noise/performance balance, and importantly flow rate is v good on the D5.
