WD AAKS ? why so special?

i am about to order a new hard drive to replace my hitichi 80 gb sata

whats so special about the wd aaks and if i get 2 and put in raid 0 how fast ? compared to other drives the drives look very cheap

The cost is simple supply and demand economics - OCUK shif huge numbers of them so get them at a good price.

Couple that with very good performance, a decent warranty and good noise levels it's unsurprising that they get recommended a lot.

so 2 of them would be a good buy? instead of a raptor? is the aaks version different to others? and is the raid vario=ant better i notices its avg seek was a few milliseconds faster
