Hello,

I've recently treated myself to a new NVME drive as titled. I formatted and removed some of my drives and decided to install windows to the NVME.

This is the only hardware change I have recently done and I'm thinking it may be the cause of the below issue but thought id gauge a 2nd opinion.

Now upon a cold boot I load into the games 'Rust or Overwatch' the issue happens 100% of the time in Rust upon the initial boot up. The game would Stutter both graphically and the sound would stutter with it. Id then get a blue screen crash with stop code 'WHEA UNCORRECTABLE ERROR'

Googling this points towards an hardware error, but my dilemma comes that once i reboot i have zero issues even when gaming for well in excess of 7-8hrs. its always upon a cold boot i issue the problem.

Obviously my first thought would be the new NVME but I thought id see if anybody else had any ideas?

The game is also installed to said drive.

cheers
Chris

Install the WD tool and make sure the firmware of your drive is upto date, you can also check for faults.

I'll give it a go, cheers. I've got the WD monitoring tool temps seem absolutely fine. It's more annoying that it runs completely issue free after a reboot.
