I have two of these 640GB drives in RAID0. Should I enable write back cache? Get a huge performance increase by enabling caching, as more data is temporary stored before it is written/read from the HDD. I know RAID0 is dangerous enough!, so with WBC enabled I could be one bad shutdown from disaster? Anyone with any thoughts? I've turned it back off in the meantime!

I've been running RAID0 with caching enabled for years and haven't had any problems after unexepected shutdowns. At the end of the day the worst that happens is you have to restore from backups.

I have exactly the same set-up as you but i have never looked at the different opitions etc

how noisy do you find the drives under seek. Mines are rediculously noisy and they are bungy modded:(
