I have a WD Caviar 250GB which i've had for over a year now. When my PC needs to make some drive accesses there is the occasional click that is louder than the rest of the little clicks you normally hear. Is this something to worry about? I don't remember it happening before

sounds like it could be on its way to mechanical failure.
RMA it, WD have a great service as long as its still in warrenty

Sadly its the only good thing I can say about them, I'm just away to return my third 250GB WD hard drive. It's able to copy like 100mb off it then it just hangs for about a minute, does another wee bit then hangs again.
Left it drag and dropping stuff last night (about 100gb) to recover it before sending back. Got up this morning "69 days 11hours remaining" haha what a joke.
Its the last time i'll be buying a WD hard drive I can tell you that. Bring back my good old Maxtor 80GB IDE drive it's like 6 years old and still going strong in my dads computer.
