WD hdd's and the secure connect cables

ok so i noticed that wd sell secure conect sata cables for tehre hdd. i have just purchased 3 wd drive 2 raptors and a normal and was wondering do i need this secure coinnect things ?? do most people use them ? or do they run with out ?

cheers for any info on these things.

if it happens to fall out, you are going to notice fairly quickly :)
I can't say I thought any connector in a PC was loose by design.

a local PC retailer used to put a blob of hot glue on all cables to stop them falling out in transit. It seemed a good idea if you were selling these things.

Neither can I. Normal SATA cables are fine, if the PC is bouncing about enough to shake normal cables loose then the drive isn't going to survive anyway.
