I'm in the market for a NAS but have little/no idea what one offers over the other apart from the ability of te DS to do RAID.
My main requirements are;
- Quiet/Low power consumption in standby
- Ease to setup/install and use
- Be able to backup both Time Machine (for my MBP) and ???? (for my PC)
- Provide good download speed over Wifi/Internet (guess this is more a issue with Wifi than the actual unit?)
I do not need a RAID array as I will be backing up to an external HDD but that said, if the DS gives me something over the My Cloud I'd be happy to pay the extra to gain that upgrade path in the future
