WD My Passport External portable drive ?

Hi all

confused
compiling my xmas list in the rain forest

OcUK dont seem to sell this latest one, but on amazon, it says 140 Mb/s USB 3.0
WD website says USB 3.2 (if its USB 3 then it would be at least 5Gb/s ?

so is this one 140mb/s as advertised or is it the case of incorrect information listed?

They messed up with the naming after USB 3.0 remember its was one thing then renamed so 3.1, 3.2 , Gen1, Gen2 etc all a mess, at least they now are going with USB 4.0.

It contains a 5.4k rpm Mech HDD so its not going to be too fast, a WD RED is same spec and 145MB/s so would seem about right and within USB 3.0 specs 5Gb/s vs SATA 6Gb/s.
