I was looking at the Caviar Blacks, then decided to go for 2x F3 500GB for my Raid 0 setup I'll be configuring later this week just for Windows 7.

so the 1gb spinpoint f3 will be faster than 640gb WD caviar black (aals) ? right ?

i ask because the 640 gb caviar black is faster than 500gb version.

I've just ordered 1x 500GB and 1x 1TB Samsung F3 on the strength of this thread, having previously been lining up a WD Black 1TB.

it says ocuk would send it 1st class Royal Mail not good

any change you could sent it dpd free ?

I recently bought a pair of WD Caviar blacks 640gb versions tho, very good buy tbh. in raid0 here is a benchmark i did to get an idea of the sort of speeds they are running

Compared them to a 300gb single raptor and they are roughly double the performance
