WD Passport 80GB + file soze problem.

Hello, has anyone had any experience as regards the following problem.

Everytime i try and copy a file over 4GB to my western digital passport ext hard drive i get the following error..

there was an error copying file blahblah.ext

or if i try and extract a 5.6GB file to the drive, i get

There is not enough space on the disk.
! Write error: only NTFS file system supports files larger than 4 GB

its a 80GB drive, NTFS file system and it shows I have 76GB of free space

Anyone any suggestions?
