As long as the UI isn't terrible, I can see this replacing my ATV2 in my bedroom

using the same UI as the HUB :D and thats fine by me :) i enjoy the extra movie information and covers :) , though i do use moviesheets on my current WDTV LIVE but it could be nice just to plug something in and not need to mod it lol

Good that they're including Wireless in this. I know that severely limited me when i was looking for a media player

I am looking at something like this for the TV downstairs but not sure I really need wireless but it would be nice to show off I suppose. Really want to see if this will do full 1080p multichanneled audio 3D MKV`s to my new sony TV so I wouldnt have to mess about with the files when I download them. I think there was one of the Live hubs in PC world the other day but i think that was called `Elements` or something so not sure on that one but the extra space might be nice. This one is listed at $99 wonder how much it will be when it gets over to EU.

Interesting, although I wonder how good their subtitle support will be (they list the common soft-sub formats, but so did the previous Live and it's support was very basic, e.g. only displaying a single subtitle on screen at once and then only very basically).

I've got a 3tb drive attached to mine, support got added a couple of updates ago

thanks for that daniel. i guess that is for the live model? i have the original player and i don't think that supports 3tb as standard. i read about splitting it to 2 partitions but didn't have much luck with it. i'll will pick up a newer model at some point. this version would be a good excuse :)

Elements is just a range of external hard drives

Looks very tempting but unfortunately no DTS-MA or Dolby TrueHD.

I see this as more of a new generation of players as we've had the first couple of waves so they have the basics down, now its just refining the process with cover art and summarys etc
