Hi all:

One of my WD3200KS drives is in very bad shape and need RMAing after just 1 week of use. I'm just wondering how long it will take for them to send the replacement? I'm moving out soon and will be away for a couple of months from early July so will prefer the replacement to arrive before then. Also I assume they have an UK address for me to faulty drive to?

Thanks

WD are usually quite good with RMA. Last time I did one (couple of years ago for a Raptor) I had to post it to Germany, then the courierd a new one back a week later. Was able to see it all online aswell. Great service.

Lacie, on the other hand are rubbish. My 1tb Big Disk snuffed it. 3 days of 'discussing' with their tech support, then 2 weeks for the RMA number, the 3 weeks to get a new disk, which then broke with the same fault 1 week later. 3 days discussing with tech support, now waiting for the second week for the RMA number...
