hi there, recently a brought a new SN750 2Tb from overclockers a few days. I plugged it in and done some checks on it. But... after a few benchmarks the write speed seems lower than expected? just over 1.1gb/sec;
The read speeds seem fine although. Is this normal or is something wrong? is this normal for the 2Tb version? is windows doing something stupid?
Its plugged into a Gigabyte X570 Ultra, 3900x in the second slot. I checked with a 1Tb sn750 and it was getting around 3gb/sec write speeds.
many thanks,
[update] After looking around the net, looks like when the drive is on a chipset lanes, the "max payload size" drops to 128 bits, and so write speeds are crippled. Hopefully this will be fixed soon with a firmware update?
I have confirmed this, by swapping the drives over (putting the SN750 into the cpu m.2 slot). After-which all the speeds were much better.
