Ok,

so who's got one?

and what's its like?
Currently there are no reviews for it on the shop site.

I was torn between a PS3 (not for games though) and a LG BD390 bluray player, which has wireless and media player capabilities of playing mkv files, which is what i'd like.
I know the WD TV Live isn't a blu-ray player, but at around a ton for a media player, might be worth a buy.

Your thoughts please?

They are great units, play pretty much every file format including HD BluRay (.MKV)

This, i have one too. Fantastic pieces of kit really tbh play absolutely everything.

Does anyone know if both the WD TV Live and the LG BD390 support playback from a Ethernet HDD on a network?

The live one is wireless so im assuming yes Chadd....i was going to get one of these but instead went with a ps3 but they do look a good bit of kit and reviewers on the net dont have a lot to say bad about it.....

I have the previous version of the Live. Works an absolute treat, but bear in mind you might have trouble playing back .mkvs with DTS sound unless you have a DTS receiver... other than that, everything plays fine. Although .ram files don't work.
