WD3200AAKS Issue

I brought a new hdd a few months back, as I am upgrading and can only buy parts here and there. I have just opened my Hard drive from its package and found that there is no Molex connector???

I haven't bought a new HDD for ages, but surely this isn't looking right it it? :confused:

sata drive, with sata power connector, so it don't use a ribbon cable or a molex

But both my Raptors have the Molex connector on the drives, which is easier for me and I can use the WDSC50RCW Secure Connect cable?

thats becasue some drives do come with both the molex and sata power connectors. Not all sata drives have both as you have found out.

They got rid of legacy connectors for the AAK\J series of drives.

Isn't there a cable you can use to convert molex to sata power?
