I pulled a 500GB Western Digital HDD out of one of my old TIVO boxes. The model number is WD5000AVDS.
I'm wondering if this would be suitable to use as a storage drive for a PC? I'm aware that it may need to be formatted but that won't be an issue.
The drive is low power consumption as well, not sure if this makes a difference?
