WD740 Raptor

Picked up a used drive today from a local shop, the drive was a system pull and works fine. It is a 74gig Raptor - WD740GD. Paid £15 quid for it. How quick is it compared to the 320gig Spinpoint SATA2 drive I have? is it worth using it? will it speed my system up or is it no better than the Samsung and therefore only good for an online auction site?

3700+, A8N SLI SE, 320 8800GTS, 320gig Spinpoint, 2 gig 3200, Vista home premium.

Mate you have done very well to get a 74gb raptor for 15 quid

It will make your pc slightly faster i would say, especially during loading and maybe during games

That's a nice buy... go back and see if they have more raptors
