Just bought a new Onkyo TXSR-308 and a set of Tannoy SFX5.1 speakers. Connected them up with no problems, the only problem I'm having is in connecting my WDTV box. If I plug it directly into the receiver by HDMI (Game HDMI Port) I get nothing but a blue screen. If I plug the HDTV directly into the TV, again by HDMI, I get the menus, but when I select a film nothing happens. Anyone experienced this problem. Do I need an HDMI splitter onto the amp, rather than use the Game port. Or do I need to connect to the TV with the addition of something like an optical cable from the receiver to the WDTV box?
