I'm surprised there hasn't been a thread on this already. This seems to be the latest comedy that BBC3 is pimping.

Take the Mighty Boosh, remove all pretentiousness, and add a healthy dose of Bottom and a pinch of Monty Python, and I think the result would be something close to We Are Klang. It is utterly, utterly barmy, yet I have found it surprisingly good. There is a lot of ad-lib humour in there too, which just adds to the weirdness.

Anyway, I have seen two episodes and have really enjoyed it, so if you haven't seen it, give it a pop :)

What does everybody else think?

Hate it. It just isn't funny but maybe it's because i don't 'understand' it.

I hate people who say that 'you just don't get it' - you can get something and not like it. I expect most of the replies in this thread to be negative, but I really enjoy the unpretentious stupidity of it all.

Its the same when i first watched 'Mighty Boosh'...it didn't make me smile at all. It wasn't funny. It was odd and trying to be 'cool' so only 'cool' people 'understand it' blah blah. :o

I watched the first one a few weeks back and at first I was like "WTF is this?" but because it has that tall fella in who I know is a very funny man, I stuck with it. Eventually the concept clicked with me and I actually really enjoyed it.

It's the silly humour I love, when you see them taking things a little bit too far and trying not to laugh.

Tried to play the clip. I lasted for 30 seconds before switching it off.

It's excruciatingly moronic. Even worse than Little Britain.

For the record, I really dislike the mighty boosh. It feels so try hard and forced - a poor show with a few funny moments.

To be honest,as with any examples of humour, the clip isn't going to seem as funny if it is used as an example, if that makes any sense. I hadn't even heard of the show before I saw it, which made me less likely to put my defences up.

Just watched the last one (hadn't seen it) and was genuinely giggling like a mad-man at times. It's silly humour, but just go with it. You'll probably find yourself cringing for half, laughing for the other.

EDIT:

It's quite funny from around 12 minutes in. I couldn't stop giggling at the childishness of the pantomine they do. :p

Just watched the first 2 episodes on iplayer and its pretty awful tbh. One or two lol's but that's it.

Was forwarded an episode on iPlayer last night - have to say that it wasn't my thing, just felt forced and cringy, like every scene was planned then "Now how can we make this random and cool?" was added to it.

Also in my half asleep state watching I did think "Bloody hell, Rik Mayall has got Gigantism!"
