Kitty litter, pair of shoes it's an easy mistake for a kitten to make.
Neither of my cats managed to use my shoes as a toilet, but I did come home to find one of ours had puked all over them.<3 my cats.

Watch your wallpaper as well. One of our kittens would run up the corner of the walls and hang there from the wall paper and slowly slide down cutting loads of lines into the paper as she went. Had to completely redecorate and buy new curtains
