We need the concept of a workers queue in shops.

One of the great joys in life is to get right up the silly noses of self-righteous, self important, narrow minded, arrogant young people.

When you are rushing down an escalator because you are late for work that scruffy fat bloke standing on the wrong side and blocking everyone behind - that's me :)
I bet you're a riot at parties.

EDIT: Also, anyone with an ounce of sense gets their food in early at those kind of jobs, prior to the lunch rush, or just does it on the sly away from the queue.

Yeah i hate it when i go to dinner at sainsburys and there are tills and tills full of old farts doing thier shopping.. I am not really blaming them but the community transport drivers for taking them at that time.. God sake most fogies are up and about at 5am why not pick them up then and take them to 24hour tesco/asda... ????

That sounds familiar! Like, you know - what we have at the minute :D

No we don't need a concept of worker queues, because I could be on the dole, I may be on my way to a job interview, and therefore it's YOU who are making ME wait.

Or perhaps express checkouts? though this does seem to exist already, it usually "10 items or less", it should be changed to "5 items or less"

I hate waiting to pay for petrol in my full power ranger suit, when there's someone who decides to do their weekly shop at 0700hrs in the morning, or says "Oh I forgot something, I'll be right back"

It is not "less" it's "fewer" :)

Fewer is used for relatively large discrete objects like oranges, mountains or solar systems.

Less is used for quantities of things which are amorphous and and generally described by their volume, area, mass or weight like flour, water, and woodland.

PS I just love the assumption that sparked off this thread that people who are currently working, and at work, are somehow more worthy than the rest of the population.

Fully agree with the filling station thing. What genius thought that one up? Buying fuel is a stress purchase at best and the last thing we need is a supermarket queue there.

Remember this is GD. Anyone who doesn't have a job is sub-human scum. HOW DARE THEY GET FIRED LAST WEEK?!?!

Anyone else think it's very frustrating waiting behind a load of dole dossers at lunch time?

We're on a limited break damnit! We do not have all day like some.... :D

How do you know that the people in front of you are "dole dossers" and not other workers who've decided to go to the same shop as you on their dinner break?

Yeah, they all lost their jobs last week for posting on the internet from work ...... and a couple for body mods and tattoos ;)

this system is easily implemented, money is worth the same for everyone, all you have todo to get priority service is pay more money...

or is that not what you had in mind?
