We were promised thick frost and some snow here over night, but got neither.
What I'd really love is the sort of snow showers we got when I were a nipper - almost 2 foot deep with foot long icicles hanging from the roof! Haven't had that for years and years!
Indeed, the last really bad winter we had down south was 1984/85 and a bit in 88. Was a bad in the Midlands in 90/91 but thats about it really. I vividly recall the 1984 one due to getting a brand new walkman for Christmas and walking in the snow, listening to 1984 (the song of the film) and Together in Electric dreams and few others. I remember my dog, Digby would disapear into snow drifts, something not seen here since.
For someone that only had a built in webcam to use and was half cut at the time I thought it wasn't THAT bad
