Web Browsers Losing Connectivity.

Hi all,

I have a strange problem that keeps (seemingly) randomly occuring:

My Firefox / Internet Explorer / Opera will just completely lose connection. Whilst all of my other Internet programs such as Xfire, Steam, MSN etc. remain connected and operating fine, any browser will just display a 'Page could not be loaded' message (or something to that effect).

The strange thing is that even 'offline' webpages i.e. navigating to files in documents or loading the router control panel will fail too, and display the same 'Page could not be loaded' message instantly.

The only remedy is to either manually reset the router via the power or to restart the PC.

Any solutions or light on this?

System specs:

BT Voyager 2091 ADSL Router (connected via Ethernet / USB cable).
Realtek Family PCI Gigabit Ethernet NIC.
Typical ADSL home connection (Pipex ISP)
Vista x64 Ultimate.

Many thanks!

Edit: Under 'Device Manager', it says that my USB Network Interface' is not installed. However my connection is working just fine, and I'm just wondering what exactly the 'USB Network Interface' is- I'm running off the onboard network adapter and my Internet traffic seems to be divided between Ethernet / USB as far as my router control panel tells me. What are the complications of this being uninstalled? I have no idea even how to install it, or which driver exactly the system requires! This has only VERY recently came up-- previously my Device Manager displayed everything as working fine.
