Hi Everyone

Not sure where to post this thread so thought i'd put it here.

Anyone recommend a really good UK based web hosting company with good support as i'm thinking about transferring the whole of my website/domain/email to somewhere closer to home.

You'll be reccommended either TSOHost or Vidahost on here.

I'm with Vidahost myself, so I recommend them.

Went with Vidahost with the recommendations from here as well. They've been great so far.

great stuff, thanks for the replies. Will speak to them to get my domain name and site transferred as my current one is a total waste of time.

another question. i've got a .com domain and when you currently search it on whois, my details are left out like my home address etc which is how i like it. can vidahost to the same?

Vidahost are fantastic, will stick this in the relevant section for you too

And yeh I recently had my details removed from whois with them, took less than a day to set up although I had pay something like £1.50.

have spoken to them on the phone a few times and they are really helpful and sorting out my transfer now.

Vidahost are the best!

Excellent support. My site was fixed at 2am within 5 mins of me sending off a ticket! Also, when you phone they have your number on file so you literally get straight through to them, they know who you are and how to help. A nice touch

+1 for Vidahost. Have my business hosted with them. Have 100% uptime so far. Apart from when I blacklisted myself with auto reconnect on the FTP password (Jsut kept going so they banned me

) A quick email, 4 minutes later, back in business!

Oh, pandamedic - Check the FAQ for sig sizes. Its too big!

I realised thanks. did make it smaller but it's still showing large! will try again
