Web ticketing

I have noticed quite a few companies using web tickets for emails, I believe kayko? is one of them, can anyone reccomend one, and more importantly are they worth it?

Kayako eSupport/Supportsuite is the one to go for. It's cheap, fast, very reliable .

how do they retrieve your emails, POP3?

You can configure it to poll a POP3 or IMAP server or you can configure your mailbox to pipe the email directly into the PHP script (depending on your hosting provider).

I have cPanel with Vidahost, do you haev to change the MX records or whatever?

I still want to be able to use my POP3 accounts for other things.

No need to change the MX records, just check out the options available to you in cPanel or ask Vidahost for assistance .
