Hi chaps,

Going to buy one at the weekend at the local Wyevale will price match on them. Anywhere I should look other than Riverside to see if I can get a better deal?

If anyone is interested, a lot of places have discounted these to £187. I've just bought one from Riverdale garden centre.
 
I've had a weber compact for a year or two now, cook food regularly on it, usually for 2 people but occasionally 4. Im kinda curious what a £200 quid bbq can give me that my £50 quid compact cant.

If you're happy with what you've got now, then there's no reason to consider changing. However, the MasterTouch is quite a big upgrade over the Compact. It has a 57cm grill over the 47cm grill, which makes a big difference when you're cooking a lot of food. There's a thermometer at the top of the BBQ to give you an idea of how hot your Weber is running. The ash catcher and one touch cleaning system at the bottom makes it really easy to clean, and the lid slides into a holder on that runs around the side of the base, making it much simpler to move out the way when things are hot. The grill on the MasterTouch (called Gourmet BBQ System) has a middle piece that comes out, and you can put a variety of attachments (optional extras) into the middle for different things. There's a pizza stone, a sear plate, a wok, a poultry roaster (beer can chicken essentially), and a griddle pan. As mentioned, these items are extras and aren't cheap, but you don't need all of them to get good use out of the grill. It also has hinged pieces on sides of the grill so that you can add or move coals around when cooking indirectly.

I upgraded from a Weber Original 57cm in May 2014 and I personally find the extras on the MasterTouch worthwhile :)
