i control my website through cPanel. within this there is a section called webmail.

i don't use these for email. i create my own address and use outlook express to access emails.

however the webmail accounts 'Horde' and 'squirrelmail' are bombarded with spam and these build up and eat into my disk space on my account (i have a limit of 100mb)

this caused my account to go over its limit recently resulting in numerous problems.

can i disassociate these with my account. i doubt i will ever use these webmail services.

If you're logging in with just your username then the webmail will be showing your username's account, which is a default account setup by cPanel for all unrouted mail.

Mail > Default Address > :fail: option :)

Beansprout has it in one :).

Disable the default address (set to :fail: or :blackhole: ) and log in as the individual account you've created rather than the catchall at yourdomain.com/webmail.
