Website Creating software?

Does anyone know any simple to use web site creating software to create HTML5 sites? I'm basically wanting something like the creator on www.wix.com but offline or even a cheaper online alternative which i can host my self. As long as its simple drag and drop

http://www.google.co.uk/webdesigner/ code looked rather messy to me when I played with it but it may do your job, it's not going to be any worse than an online generated code.

Some hosting includes a wix type of option and there's always squarespace

Just buy a template, let someone else code the updates and you just create the content.

I'd advise you don't use website creators. They're very limited in what they can do. Wordpress is probably a good option for you.

Wordpress, Joomla, E107 are all options. They are all Content Management Systems (CMS) and are simple to set up and modify with lots of online support. I've used all 3 of them over the years. Joomla can be a tricky learning curve. Wordpress and E107 are quite straight forward.

http://squarespace.com/ have some lovely modern templates and a great web editor, plus they sort the hosting for you.

Just upload your content and you're good to go. They've got a stock image deal now too so you can insert high quality stock images for about $10 a pop I think, helps to add an aire of professionalism to the most basic of sites.
