I was wondering if anyone can help, I am going into self employment as an Architectural Technician doing plans etc. I am wanting to create a simple website to get me started, but I want to be able to keep updating it myself. I know the domain I want is available in both .co.uk and .com formats so want to get it as soon as possible.

Thanks in advance.

1. Register your domain (123 reg is fine) or names.co.uk
2. Pick a hosting company, (5 quid host are amazing) UK based support and respond quickly to problems/queries.
3.install Joomla or wordpress on your domain (one click install from Cpanel) comes with hosting.
4. Pick a nice template from anywhere, install it
5. Edit the words on the website.
6. That's you done!

If he's running Joomla he doesn't want a slow and crappy host. Joomla is quite resource intensive, so maybe £5 for a shared host with a hundred other websites running on it wouldn't be substantial.
