but im after the website version or similar

hell yeah this would be a good idea. Hell i'll go one step further. It should be possible to setup your own website which is like an.....

Aladdins Cave of cheap deals and sales.

Modular website - with loads of different categories: cheap flights, electronics, gaming, etc.

Then its a matter of adding on each online retailer website (put into the correct category ofc) and some fancy tracking ability that would update on your website with the tagged product (which has went on a 2 day sale for example e.g. bank holiday deals and the like)

Heck you wouldnt need to tag any product - you just add their url to your list and as soon as that retailer has any kind of SALE or price drops (configurable) then THAT product would appear on your website under the appropriate category.

So YUP your website would have the potential to be the sum total of all bargains on the Internet....a veritable Aladdins cave like i said ;)

never again would i need to hunt around all the numerous online gaming retailers for the best price. The best price would be on my site :)

damn im so full of crazy ideas...shape there aint a coder out there to bring life to this genius :D

^^ yep i use em myself as well as various other websites to check to see if there are deals on.

Would be nice if i only needed to go to just one website where all the deals are laid out in a nice front end client.....ah well.

Find-Games and Find-DVD etc have a pricewatch thing that e-mails you when products go below a price threshold that you set at any of the shops they track (a lot).

Had an e-mail off them just the other day about Crackdown 2 dropping below £20 :p
