A friend of mine is making a website. He'd like to have a specific page where information is visible to view in a table.

What he'd like to achieve is a button on that page where authorised users can login and alter the information that is viewable on the table to everyone.

So say the table showed football results.

He'd like authorised people to be able to login from anywhere and change the results as and when needed - preferably by entering in a password and username!

He's not a website expert and would prefer some sort of pre-written code or something similar. Any help is appreciated so please let me know your ideas!

Try the HTML, Graphics & Programming forum - you'll need a more sophisticated back-end for authentication which is a bit beyond a beginner. Someone might be able to suggest a hosted service that he can administrate and customize rather than code from scratch.
