Website released!

Nice and simple - I do prefer the cleaner looking photography sites as the photography should speak for itself!
My only criticism is how the photo thumbnails are laid out. I personally don't think that grouping them together like that does much for them; I would say they need spacing between them.

Thanks for feedback.

It was originally like that but I might have changed something to cause them to exclude the spacing's. I am looking into this now.
 
I think the site would be better if it was centred as viewing on a large monitor is a pain.
Also in the 'about' section I think you should have a picture of yourself so anyone viewing the site feels they know you better, thus probably more likely to approach you rather than a faceless entity.

Other than than, I like the nice clean/bright layout, you did a good job.

I was toying with that idea for my site, but it's not really the done thing is it?

I've trawled though loads of sites for professional photographers and thought the majority didn't have photos of the photographers.

Few examples:

I'm sure you could provide loads of examples where the photographers do include photos of themselves, but from what i've seen, more don't than do.
 
Nice and clean. I only looked at the main page and the expressions page though.
On the expressions page, some of the photos are strectched out of their original proportions

While the photographers work will/should speak for itself, all I know is, as a person I'd rather meet someone I had a 'sense' of familiarity with, rather than an 'unknown' stranger, and I'm sure 'all else being equal', most other people (customers) would feel less anxious if they new who they were meeting ahead of time as well, as it's just human nature to fear the 'unknown', so the less unknowns the better imo.
Also I personally feel this is probably more important for photographers who deal direct with the public rather than with agencies you build longer relationships with etc...

Whether she is your cup of tea or not, you got to admit she's got her branding/marketing down. I imagine most brides who look at this site will instantly know whether they will like her or not, and will most definitely be more inclined to stretch their budget for a photographer they like over one they don't even know. The clip on the website also has the benefit of repelling the people who are not a good fit, thus saving allot of wasted time for both parties...

- Still looking into the spacing issues
- Aware of the proportions issue on the post pages.
- Will look into getting photo/video, a neat idea!
